Tush, sorry to hear this hard situation that you are going through. You’ve been such an amazing help to me for years now, and I feel unsure that I have anything insightful to say.
I just hope that you know how much you mean to all of us, and how I know that everyone is sending out vibes to the universe… (In my case, praying) that you will continue to have the best outcomes and the best prognosis.
In times like these, that I wish that people lived down the street so I could go visit and give a hug… take some peach cobbler, and have a conversation. In leiu of that, just know that you are very important to us, and we are behind you all the way!

I’m really upset to read this news but comforted that all indications are so positive. But I don’t like the idea of Surviving Infidelity’s ROCK having to endure any suffering.

My surgery ti remove the cancer and surrounding tissue and test lymph nodes will be next Wed. I have one more preop visit this week. Will find out what to expect as far as time off needed, etc.
As far as next steps after that totally depends on the pathology after surgery which all of it can take as long as a month.
Just trying to concentrate on eating protein, and low carbs, and getting the house clean prior to.
It is honestly surreal right now. I'm just plugging along like life is normal and when I really think about it. I have Cancer!

Surgery is done!!!
I'm home and doing well. Pain is manageable, had some food and am watching some of my favorite pods on the big TV. My Honey built a fort around my chair with a coffee table and pvc golf ladder things to keep the dogs away.
Path won't be back for about 3 weeks with all the testing they do. Initial results will be at 1st postoperative visit but surgeons feel like my needs were ok. So welcoming ongoing tots and pairs and juju, mojo, and SI magic.

What a RockStar!!! But doggies do need to check on you, don't they? ;) Somehow, they need to control their boisterous boy selves. Not easy, but I'm sure your Honey will supervise the situation. (Nothing better than dogs welcoming us home after a hospital visit, in my mind.)
But waiting 3 weeks is going to seem like soooo long, isn't it? I know if they are doing a thorough job that is what it takes. One time I waited for almost that long and never heard a thing about my specimen until I contacted the hospital and they said "sign up for MyChart, you can see it." Duh. I was expecting an old-fashioned phone call...

Glad to hear surgery went well. As long as you don't overdue it, the pain will be manageable. Did you have one incision? Or a separate one for the lymph nodes? Did they say how many nodes they took? And what they looked like under the scope at a first glance?
